What is LipSense® & How Does the Color Stay on All Day?
LipSense is a long-lasting vegan and gluten-free liquid lip color. It is waterproof, kiss proof, smudge-proof, and lasts from four to 18 hours. It contains St. John’s Wort that hydrates and helps prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Tree Peony Extract helps heal dried cracked skin and Linden Extract gives the lip color sunscreen protection. It is free of lead, animal waxes, and GMOs.
LipSense is a pigment suspended in cosmetic-grade denatured alcohol. When you apply the color and the alcohol evaporates it leaves the pigment behind. The lip color molecularly bonds to the skin. Then it is topped with a permeable Shea Butter gloss, which transfers through the color to hydrate the lips while preserving the color.
How to Restore Your Lips to Proper Hydration
Regular daily use of Glossy gloss, LipSense Lip Balm, or LipSense Lip Volumizer helps to heal dry lips. Users need not fear wearing these products to bed. This allows your lips time to heal while you are sleeping. And of course, drink plenty of water.
LipSense Lip Balm has moisture-rich botanicals to help bind hydration to the lips; SenePlex Complex provides anti-aging and restorative benefits. This lightweight formula is fragrance free with a matte finish. It pampers your lips with natural ingredients including Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Orchid Extract and Shea Butter.
The LipSense Lip Volumizer increases lip fullness by 20 percent, increases lip moisture by 54 percent with one month of daily use. It also uses natural ingredients to help build collagen production, minimize feathering, and fine lines around the mouth.

Why Does LipSense® Tingle?
Some users report experiencing a tingle when they first start using the LipSense color. This is because the lips are dry and not sufficiently moisturized. The tingle happens when the cosmetic-grade alcohol touches the dry cracks of your lips. The sensation stops once you have finished the application and applied the LipSense gloss. This tingling disappears completely as the moisture restores hydration and heals your lips.
Do I Really Need the Ooops Remover?
Ooops Remover conditions the lips with Vitamins A, B, C and E. It is rich with antioxidants from Orchid Flower Extract and it soothes and heals with Jojoba. You can correct mistakes and remove color at the end of the day without drying out your lips with harsh soaps and cleansers.
Directions:
- Apply liberally
- Let it sit on your lips for a few minutes
- Rub lips together to assist with the breakdown process
- Wipe off with a warm wet cloth
- Repeat steps 1-4, if needed.
How Do I Apply the Lip Color for Best Results?
- Start with a clean, dry lip.
- Shake, shake, shake the color.
- Apply three thin layers of lip color in ONE direction from corner to corner. Keep lips apart and stretched tight until all layers had been applied. Use smooth strokes allowing each coat to dry, about 5 to 10 seconds. Do not go back and forth with the wand. Apply each layer in the same direction.
- Apply LipSense Gloss. (Now you can rub your lips together.)
- Reapply gloss through the day to protect the color.
Why Three Layers to the Color Application Process?
When the first layer touches the skin, your body’s natural PH will begin to break it down. This protects the second layer from the skin’s PH making it safe from external contact from food, drink and weather. The third layer has staying power, protecting the second layer from friction, saliva, water, food, and the natural environment.
Why is this Gloss so Boss, & How Do I Get Started?
Glossy Gloss contains Shea Butter and Vitamin E. That means it has moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. It also aids with cellular renewal, which brings healthy skin cells to the surface to give you smooth soft lips. Wear the gloss anytime, even if you are not wearing a lip color.
Note: Using glosses by other brands will break down your lip color and works against restoring hydration to your lips.

This is a magnificent value, as each lip color tube (if worn daily) will last four to six months. One tube of LipSense lip color (7.39 mL) is the equivalent to four tubes of lipsticks. The Lip Color will last for two years opened and seven years unopened.
My Lips are Exfoliating?
Really, it is “my lips are exfoliating!” This is good and completely normal. The LipSense system removes dead skin from lipstick wax build up over the years. Other brands contain paraffin wax that suppresses the natural exfoliation process. The exfoliation process encourages new skin cell growth and varies for each person, but the average exfoliating occurs between two and four weeks.
Note: If you are using LipSense in preparation for your wedding day, please wear LipSense daily for minimum of one month prior to your big day. This ensures a complete exfoliating process for smoother and softer lips. Also, if you mix or use another brand’s lip products, the lip detox process starts over, but please do not give up!
If you would like to speed up the exfoliation process, use a coconut oil sugar scrub. Also wear LipSense gloss or LipSense Lip Balm to bed. And of course, drink plenty of water.
